The group develops fundamental studies of physical properties of
complex matter
(rheology, defects, mechanical instabilities,...), including that of biological objects
(dynamics of macromolecules, cellular internal dynamics,...).
We also consider the potential applications to natural systems (volcanoes, venting, fracture,...). To achieve our goal, we pursue special efforts toward modelling (statistical physics, dissipative systems,...).
